SUNDAY
After a good evening meal last night and breakfast we drive down to the marina and basically haul the entire contents of the Funmobile and the Loffredi car onto our assigned 60 foot houseboat (which is essentially a floating version of the progeny of the Funmobile and an aircraft carrier ).
We pick up our towed small 19 foot powerboat and are on our way for what should be a 2-day 50 mile run to Oak Bay. Ha Ha. The marina pilot who takes us out of the harbor offers that she just made the run up from the south end of the lake and that the wind was “ridiculous” at Rincon where we had planned the first night stop. So instead of making planned 20 miles, we made about 6 miles and sought out refuge from the 20-30 mph winds.
Good night from Halls Creek Bay, Lake Powell
