Last Leg To Zion

2 May 2015

Got another late start today.

1.     Because the view from bed made it easy to just lay there.

2.     Because once I did get out of bed, I had to CHANGE $%#@$*& TIRE

However, once on the road, the scenery was quite spectacular as the path paralleled the "Vermillion Cliffs" of northern Arizona for 50 miles or so.

Show off.

Frank Loyd Wright's "Rock on a House"

Some scenery is more captivating than others.

So the final chapter on the lucky penny.  Although we had to drive 40-50 miles out of the way, the tire replacement shop had four of 6 bays empty, and the Verizon store was only two blocks away and fixed the hotspot with a new SIM card is just a few minutes.  All is well.  Lucky pennies work in strange ways.

HA HA !  As I finish typing this blog to the sounds of Roll with the Changes, Proud Mary, CCR and an assortment of melodies from an outdoor wedding reception being held at a private resort about 100 feet across the "babbling" river.

Next time Val keeps the penny.  She is much better at good Karma than me.

Good night from Zion

Brad and Val

and I'm sleeping in tomorrow.

  1. Good payout on the penny story with a philosophical note and a happy ending... that includes a wedding! You could write romance novels.

  2. Forget romance novels... keep blogging!

Dom is getting brownie points with his bio teacher Bro Guy... the class talked about Biosphere 2 a few months back. Now D gets to make a personal connection (albeit second hand via the blog) with him. Thanks for the great talking points!
